In this video, you'll learn about the misconception that you should
never flex your lower back, keep it stiff, or brace at all times,
even when lifting something small. The research shows that lifting
with some spinal flexion is safe for lower loads, and intentionally
limiting range of motion can contribute to back pain
persisting.
Instead, you need a strategy that encourages and increases the
amount of motion that's available in the back, pain-free. This can
be achieved by teaching your body to shift internal fluids
differently, depending on which movement or movements hurt.
